Gumla’s Palkot is known as a tourist destination. People coming here to visit Pampapur and Gobarsilli and people going to other places from Palkot stop at the Baba Chaat Bhandar cart and go ahead only after eating the chaat available here.
Director Nitesh told that for almost 15 years there is a handcart here. It was started by my father. Now my younger brother and I are managing the business together. In our place samosa and tikiya chaat is served to the people by mixing chickpeas, sweet chutney, curd, sev, papdi, masala, onion etc., which is very much liked. Here chaat is served in Sakhua’s dona, this enhances the taste of chaat.

Here single samosa chaat is Rs 15 and double samosa chaat is Rs 20. Single Tikia Chaat is Rs 15 and Double Tikia Chaat is Rs 20. About 500 plates of chaat are sold daily. Apart from this, Chowmein is Rs 40 plate. Whereas, Phuchka and Special Phuchka are available for Rs.10 in 5 pieces. Thela starts from 11 am to 6 pm.
